随着数天之后Facebook即将公开上市成为一家价值千亿美元的公司，这将会引发一轮新的社交网络扩张狂潮。近日，科技网站TheNextWeb发表文章分析中国社交网络巨头们，称在本地市场还没有达到饱和状态时，中国的社交网络巨头没必要以击败Twitter和Facebook为己任，他们只需要活在自己的世界里。
尽管概念相同，但是中国式的“克隆”并不是单纯的照瓢画葫芦。跟Twitter对比起来，新浪微博在不断的增加用户体验，视频、游戏、微群、评论等功能逐渐加了进去。他们能否以这种“微创新”的方式击败全球首创者尚不好说。新浪的庞大忠实用户中虽然有少量海外用户，但是它主要流行于中国。我们对比一下一些海内外社交网络公司的用户数据：
Facebook：社交网络（9亿注册用户）
Twitter：微博服务（1.4亿注册用户）

虽然中国社交网络公司深受该国5亿网民的爱护，但是这不意味这他们在海外也能受到如此的热捧。总的来说，现在的中国社交网络公司不适合参战海外市场，他们更适合在本土发芽壮大。原因如下：
只有差异化才能从能惨烈竞争中脱颖而出，中国社交网络公司暂不具备这素质
由于现在的社交媒体领域是激烈竞争和高度划分，如果不能在现有的常用服务提供清晰的差异性服务，新的公司是很难进入这个行业的。如果中国的社交网络想要在全球范围推广开来，也必须做到这一点，这对它们来说确实是个不小的挑战。
腾讯微博算是比较关注海外市场的企业，它为非海外用户提供了免费翻译服务。但这只是战略性部署，而不是想真枪实弹在海外市场跟Twitter和Facebook抗衡。新浪微博把主要精力放在中国市场，而它的海外策略只不过是针对一些受中国文化影响的周边地区，比如说东南亚。由于大部分企业的社交网络内容是中文的，即使是英文界面，也会大大降低他们为用海外户所提供的服务质量。由于种种原因，他们还不具备提供富有竞争力的差异性服务，贸然进军海外市场更有可能让自己血本无归。
国内还有很多工作要完善
除了要面对竞争所带来的挑战外，中国社交网络巨头还有很多工作要完善以提高自己的核心服务。比如说微博，尽管受到了一些行政的管制，但它已经变成了新闻的爆料平台，吸引了越来越多的当地互联网用户。权威估计中国互联网用户在2015年时会达到8亿，中国很快就能步入6亿网民的时代。虽然Fackbook在美国遇到了市场饱和的困境，但是对于互联网用户不断增加的中国来说，其社交网络公司暂时不需要考虑这种状况。他们更需要的是做好自己的本土市场，扩大自己的市场份额。
实名制条例负面影响颇大
由于实名制条例要求用户将自己的帐号和身份证进行绑定，这给用户数的增长带来了很大难度的挑战。当这个条例完全实施的时候，微博会损失大量注册用户，而那些活跃性低的用户也会从服务器中移除。目前新浪只有60%的用户愿意实名验证。这项政策将会为海外用户注册带来麻烦，进而影响该公司的海外发展前景。
创收优先导致他们放慢了进军海外市场的步伐
由于运营、互联网运营许可证、设备的成本费用，中国的微博苦寻盈利之道。虽然新浪和腾讯都有其他的业务支持微博的运营，但是他们也希望能通过这个平台获得利润。移动市场是一个关键的商业领域，中国的社交网络公司都部署了自己的智能手机策略。他们想给用户带来一款高体验的手机，并寻找一个创新的盈利模式。另外，不只是社交网络公司对这个领域有兴趣。面对着拥有3.56亿用户的移动市场，中国搜索巨头百度也在忙于推出自己的手机。
就算正确的执行，任何针对海外用户的举动都需要昂贵的运营。即使没算上设备的成本，产品的研发和市场的推广的预算也是很吓人的，而且也不能保证这些投资是有回报的。相反，致力于中国服务的微博还是很有前景的。由于用户数量庞大，它可以向进军中国市场的国际企业提供广告服务，从而获得盈利。其他一些机构也加入到了中国社交媒体领域，尽管最初的结果喜忧参半，效果也不是很理想，但随着中国的中产阶级和上流社会群体变得愈加富裕，社交网络仍被看作是和中国建立联系的重要平台。
相比全球市场，中国社交网络公司更关注东南亚地区
虽然存在变卦，但是中国社交网络公司在本土的地位基本不可憾摇。虽然目前他们认为全球策略意义不大，但是像东南亚市场还是值得关注的。比如说，腾讯正在向该地区推广微信这个移动聊天应用，并轻微的整合了自家的微博服务。一旦成功后， 它会推出更多的媒体活动以巩固自己在该市场的地位。
百度已经到了进军海外搜索市场的地步。他们年初的时候在新加坡推出了本地搜索中心计划，想通过这个计划在这个地区推出更多的相关服务。但是对于中国的社交网络公司来说，国内市场的利益暂时来说远比海外扩张更加重要，就算是要扩张海外市场，他们也优先把精力放到东南亚市场上。
