Pintics是一个针对Pinterest的分析服务，其CEO Francisco Guerrero花了整个周末的时间在帕洛阿尔托举行的一个名为AngelHack的黑客马拉松活动上推出了另外一款和Pinterest相关的名为ShopInterest的项目，通过ShopInterest服务每个人都可以将自己的Pinterest变成一个网络小店（甚至还带有购物车），每个商品都会成为Pinterest页面中的一个Pin，用该公司的说法就是：ShopInterest是“Shopify for Pinterest” 。
Guerrero表示他们并不是放弃了Pintics服务，ShopInterest也不是对Pintics业务的重构，目前该服务运行状态还是非常不错的，他们现在还在跟踪分析高达75万个Pin。这两个服务面向的人群不同，二者之间并不冲突，Pinterest数据分析Pintics服务主要面向的是大型的电子商务公司，当Guerrero他们看到Pinterest给这些大公司促成的大额交易量的时候，于是就有了让普通用户从这些交易中获利的想法，这就是ShopInterest的由来。
ShopInterest的用法相当简单，用户只要登录Pinteres并进入ShopInterest，首先用户只需要选择他们的商品展示的面板，然后加上商品描述、价格和运费并选择他们想要的支付工具（PayPal或者Dwolla），剩下的工作就交给ShopInterest来帮你完成就行，一个Pinteres网店就这么建成了。
这个项目的团队主要包括其联合创始人Francisco Guerrero、Liang Huang以及设计人员Tom Hodgins、Yisha Peng和Jianqing Sun（这几个名字看起来怎么这么像中国人名？），这个团队并不是第一次有从Pinteres这个仅次于Facebook和Twitter的图片分享社交网站中创造价值的想法，Pintics就是他们非常成功的一次尝试。特别是在今年二月的时候，Pinterest透露自己曾尝试使用SkimLinks内容货币化网络出版商平台,这将给Pinterest带来每年额外的一万至两万美元的收入，但是Pinterest更看重的是SkimLinks提供的数据分析服务，从这一点来看Pintics和ShopInterest的前景还是相当广阔的。
尽管Pinterest一直在为自己的网页内容的货币化而努力，不过对于ShopInterest 来说目前面临的问题就是Pinterest并没有发布这方面的API，所以在接口上Pintics团队只好通过RSS订阅的方式来获得所需要的最基本信息，Francisco Guerrero表示“向其他人一样，我们也还在等待Pinterest给出完整的API” 。随着Pintics的这项服务的推出，相信会有越来越多的个体商户会入驻Pinterest。目前ShopInterest还处于测试阶段，感兴趣的朋友可以去网站申请试用。可惜国内并没有类似Pinterest的这种专业的图片分享网站，这种模式的电子商务网站在国内很难流行起来，但是他们这种创业模式还是比较值得学习的。
